10918NAT - Certificate IV in Christian Ministry Service

This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to effectively engage, support and lead others, within the Christian church and the broader community through the following means:
• Application of theological and biblical knowledge in mentoring, Bible study and other supervised public teaching contexts.
• By leading, under formal supervision arrangements, spiritual formation activities with small to medium groups.
• By communicating and applying self-reflection and awareness when operating in developmentally specific, pastoral and/or cross-cultural contexts.
• Through applying the guidance and principles set forth by leaders of the church to protect the vulnerable in response to national guidelines and regulation.
It is expected that with the leadership, communication and critical thinking skills gained, successful graduates of the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry Service will be able to take on a number of roles, within the Christian church, and also within the wider community. These are listed below:
