10834NAT - Certificate IV in Workplace and Business Coaching

This course is intended to provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to perform the following job roles:
• internal workplace coach;
• workplace coaching practitioner;
• executive coach;
• other specialist coaching roles for example ‘performance coach’.
Function/duty/specialist skills include the ability to:
• self-reflect, conduct self-coaching exercises and determine the appropriate environment for self-coaching;
• develop rapport with individuals and teams in the workplace and adapt one’s coaching style to specifically meet the personality preferences and learning preferences of another person;
• effectively coach individuals in a variety of the workplace contexts and across a variety of mediums;
• effectively coach teams in a variety of workplace contexts and across a variety of mediums;
• facilitate individual and team visions, values and behaviours in the workplace;
• coach across a number of workplace scenarios including giving and receiving feedback; managing change; managing conflict; performance management and managing resistance to coaching;
• apply strengths-based coaching to coaching interactions;
• identify and manage the boundary between coaching and other support services that may be required;
• meet the competency requirements to be able to apply for an appropriate level of credential with the International Coach Federation (ICF); and
• use an extensive range of coaching tools to bring out the best in the person being coached.
