10808NAT - Certificate IV in Work Skills for Career Enhancement and Management

This course is intended to provide participants with a range of cognitive, knowledge, and work skills necessary for any role that requires responsibility for self and/or others in the workplace. Graduates will be able to perform the following functions across all industry sectors, ultimately enhancing their own career and continuing on the pathway to further learning and development
• Communicate and relate to subordinates, peers and superordinates in a manner that promotes and fosters cooperation and workplace harmony
• Act with discretion and judgement in all facets of the work role
• Adapt and transfer knowledge and skills in self-management, relationships, professionalism and ethics to team members and clients
• Take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning including participation in teams and take responsibility for the output of team members within established parameters
• Apply knowledge and skills in communication and problem solving to develop solutions to a variety of predictable and unpredictable problems and use initiative and innovation skills in learnt techniques and methodologies to develop contingencies
• Demonstrate personal workplace resilience and provide emotional support to other team members
• Apply corporate responsiveness in approach to the work role and productivity and encourage this behaviour in team members
