10719NAT - Certificate IV in Leadership and Innovation in Dementia Services

The proposed new course will improve care for people living with dementia and equip participants with the leadership skills to implement positive change in their workplace.
In their workplace/caregiver role, graduates will:
• identify entrenched attitudes to people living with dementia and implement contempory care practices leading to improved outcomes for clients;
• develop, as part of a multidisciplinary team;
• contribute to care planning;
• apply risk identification and minimisation strategies to dementia care and services;
• record, report and manage information;
• undertake responsibilities within scope of own work role according to organisation policies and protocols;
• contribute to effective working relationships;
• undertake assessments of the environment in a range of settings
• apply critical reflective practice to own work role
